Travis received this flyer while stationed in Germany. He hadn't known the song he knocked out for his father before leaving for Germany was being considered for the title song, but there it was in the fine print under the graphic, "a music score that will ROCK YOU . . . featuring the sensational DEMO DERBY title song,"" credited to him and Arthur Korb, who produced and arranged it with the RONDELS, the first of Travis' original songs to be on a movie soundtrack, and it came just as his off-duty rock 'n' roll career was taking off in Germany, and that's the why, when, and where he first began to consider a career in music.
